"Often during the painting classes, I am struck by the collection of wisdom in the rooms of the studio. We have a retired surgeon, a diabetes expert, real estate agents, book editor, teachers, homemakers, a seamstress, jewelry designers, framer, museum docent, nurses, students and a wide variety of other occupations and ages painting together
in a converted garage, lovingly called a studio.

As a group we also enjoy many activities together outside of the studio, excursions to museums,
art shows and painting together plein air just to name a few. We are a continuum of ideas,
energy and friendship working together and supporting each other to fulfill the desire
to create something visual and beautiful.

As my grandson, Jacob reminds me; this is not work! I walk from my house to the studio,
eat cake with my friends, paint pictures and sometimes go swimming in the pool.
I must be one of the luckiest people in the world."
